Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of smartcode.tv. Read them alongside the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy, which form part of the same agreement.
1.The service
Smart Code stores a pointer to a media source and returns it to a client application when a valid code is resolved. We do not host, transmit, cache or transcode any media. Traffic flows directly between the viewer’s player and the server you nominate.
2.Your account
You are responsible for the credentials you store with us and for the lawfulness of every source behind every code you create. Accounts are for a single organisation; sharing panel access outside your organisation is not permitted.
3.Plans and billing
Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and are priced by the number of active codes. A trial lasts ten days and permits three active codes. When a subscription lapses, codes stop resolving until the account is reactivated; nothing is deleted for thirty days.
4.Acceptable use
You may not use Smart Code to distribute material you have no right to distribute. We act on valid takedown notices and may pause a code while a notice is reviewed. Repeated notices against one account lead to suspension.
5.Availability
We aim for 99.9% availability of the resolve endpoint. Scheduled maintenance is announced in the panel at least 48 hours in advance and is performed outside European peak hours where possible.
6.Termination
You may cancel at any time from Billing; service continues to the end of the paid period. We may terminate an account for a breach of these terms, with notice except where the breach is ongoing and serious.
