Adding a code in Mega Player
This page is for your customers, so link to it or copy it into your own instructions. Mega Player runs on Android phones, tablets and Android TV.
Enter the code
- Install Mega Player and open it.
- Choose to add a playlist, and pick Smart Code as the kind of playlist.
- Type the six digits your provider gave you. A code written as
482 915is typed482915. - Mega Player loads your channels. Next time it opens, it remembers the code.
You never need to type a server address, username or password. When your provider changes those, the code keeps working.
Open it from a link
Your provider may send a link like smartcode.tv/c/482915. On a phone or TV with Mega Player installed, open the link and choose Open in Mega Player: the app opens with the code filled in. The same page says whether the code is working.
To check any code, go to smartcode.tv/check.
If the code doesn't work
Mega Player shows a message. Here is what each case means and who can fix it:
- Code not found
- No code has these digits. Check them with your provider; a deleted code stops working at once.
- Code paused
- Your provider has paused the code. Contact them.
- Code expired
- The code had an end date that has passed. Your provider can extend it.
- Code inactive
- Your provider's Smart Code plan has ended. Contact them; nothing is wrong on your device.
- Too many devices
- The code is already in use on as many devices as your provider allows. They can raise the limit or remove a device you no longer use.
- Device removed
- Your provider removed this device from the code. Enter the code again to add it back, if there is room.
- Service unavailable
- The provider's channel list couldn't be loaded right now. Try again in a few minutes.
Smart Code only points Mega Player to your provider's service. Questions about channels, picture quality or payment go to your provider.
